Nathan Meier joined the Nebraska track and field and cross country coaching staffs as a volunteer coach in 2019. Meier assists Coach David Harris in coaching the distance runners.
A native of Riverside, California, Meier competed at the University of Redlands from 2012-16. Meier made four appearances at the NCAA Division III West Regional Cross Country Championships. On the track, Meier competed for the Bulldogs in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5,000-meters. He was named to the 2016 USTFCCCA Division III Track and Field West Region Team for the 3,000-meter steeplechase and owned the No. 7 time in the event at the University of Redlands at the time of graduation.
Meier comes to Nebraska after spending one year as the assistant coach for cross country and track and field at the University of Redlands. He also spent one season as the assistant track and field coach at Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, California.
Meier received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Redlands in 2016 and earned a master’s degree in sport and performance psychology from California Baptist University in August of 2019.
