Jackson Schepp joined the Nebraska track and field staff as a volunteer coach in 2019-20. Schepp assists in coaching the combined events and pole vault.
Prior to coming to Nebraska, Schepp spent two seasons as an assistant track and field coach for combined events, pole vault and high jump at the University of Mary. During his time with the Marauders, Schepp coached multiple all-conference athletes, two conference champions and four All-Americans.
A native of Buffalo, Minn., Schepp competed as a member of the Concordia College-Moorhead track and field team from 2013-17. While with the Cobbers, he was a two-time national qualifier (2017 heptathlon, 2017 decathlon) and a two-time Academic All-American. He earned three Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship titles (2016 and 2017 heptathlons and 2017 high jump), 13 MIAC All-Conference honors, and holds the school record in the heptathlon with a score of 4,882 points. Schepp was also the Concordia College Athlete of the Year as a senior.
Schepp received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Concordia College-Moorhead in 2017 and earned a master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Mary in 2019.
