Monique Lewis competed in three meets during the indoor season... notched a personal-best time of 26.85 in the 200 meters at the adidas Classic on Jan. 21... recorded a personal-best time of 58.96 in the 400 meters at the Nebraska Tune-Up... competed in six meets during the outdoor season... notched a time of 57.02 in the 400 meters at the Nebraska Invitational on May 5... posted a personal-best time of 24.71 in the 200 meters at the Nebraska Mini Meet on April 25... finished with a time of 57.12 in the 400 meters at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships.

Before Nebraska (Miami Northland Senior High)
Lewis came to Nebraska from Miami Northland Senior High School where she was a standout for coaches Alex Johnson and Joe Jones... recorded personal bests of 12.23 in the 100 meters, 24.73 in the 200 meters, 58.89 in the 400 meters and 8-2 in the long jump... finished second in the 100 meters (12.23) and the 200 meters (24.73) at the FHSAA 3A Region 4 Championships.
