2011 (Junior)
Luke Pinkelman came on strong for the Huskers in 2011, earning All-America and All-Big 12 honors in the shot put at the 2011 NCAA and Big 12 Indoor Championships... finished sixth at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a shot put of 62-4... claimed the Big 12 Indoor title in the shot put with a personal-best toss of 65-10 1/4... finished third in the shot put at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a personal-best throw of 62-10 3/4... finished in eighth (177-2) in the discus at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships... recorded a personal best 178-3 in the discus at the WSU Classic.

2010 (Sophomore/Junior)
Pinkelman competed as an unattached athlete in 2010, as he was unable to throw for the Huskers after transferring from Iowa State... posted three victories in the shot put during the indoor season at the Holiday Inn Invitational, NWU Invite and Nebraska Tune-Up... tossed an indoor best of 59-9 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... set personal bests in the shot put (62-9 1/4) and discus (167-9) during the outdoor season at the Nebraska Open, with the mark in the shot put qualifying him for the USA Championships... placed 13th at the USA Championships with a throw of 57-9 1/2 in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Before Nebraska (Cozad HS/Iowa State)
Pinkelman transferred to Nebraska from Iowa State prior to the start of the 2010 spring semester and had to sit out the 2010 season per Big 12 transfer rules... competed at the Big 12 Championships three times as a Cyclone... earned four All-Big 12 honors, including a runner-up finish in the shot put at the 2009 Big 12 Indoor Championships with a then-personal-best toss of 58-8 3/4... made a trip to the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Championships after a fifth-place showing in the shot put at the Midwest Regional... placed 19th at the national meet with a throw of 58-10 3/4... was a five-time Nebraska Class B track and field state champion and three-time All-Class state champion at Cozad High School under Coach Scott Adkisson... won state titles in the shot put from 2005 to 2007 and discus in 2006 and 2007... set the All-Class shot put state meet record in 2007 with a toss of 63-7 1/2... was a member of the National Honor Society.
