Landon Nelson participated in seven meets throughout the 2013 outdoor season competing in the javelin competition...shined at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Columbus with a personal-best throw of 199-2 (60.70) for a seventh place finish on May 12...earned a pair of dominant victories at the Pre-Drake meet (184-11) and the Nebraska Invite (197-4)...improved his javelin distance in every single meet during the outdoor campaign...finished with the best throw on the team during the 2013 season by over 11 feet.

2012 (Redshirt/Freshman)
Landon Nelson redshirted the 2012 indoor season... competed in four meets during the outdoor season in the javelin... notched a personal-best throw of 184-6 in the event at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships, finishing ninth.

Before Nebraska (Norfolk Catholic)
Nelson came to Nebraska after competing for Coach Tim Kassmeier at Norfolk Catholic... recorded a 15-3 pole vault during his senior season...was a member of the honor roll in high school.
