Annie Jackson Season 2011-12

2014 (Senior)
Annie Jackson battled in the shot put at the 2014 Big Ten Indoor Championships where she claimed third place after a throw of 52-7 ¼ (6.03)… recorded a personal-best distance of 54-3 ¾ (16.55) in the shot put en route to a third place finish at the Frank Sevigne Invite… posted a runner-up finish at the Mark Colligan Memorial at 52-0 ½ (15.86)… finished fourth and fifth in her other two appearances in the indoor season.

2013 (Junior)
Jackson finished fourth in the shot put at the 2013 Big Ten Indoor Championships, recording a throw of 52-7 1/2 (16.04)... earned a third-place finish at the 2013 Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the shot put with a distance of 55-0 (16.76), good for both a personal and team-best mark... notched a seventh-place finish in the discus with a personal-best distance of 156-4 (47.65) at the 2013 Big Ten Outdoor Championships... posted an indoor personal-best throw of 53-7 (16.33) in the shot put at the Mark Colligan Memorial on Feb. 9... earned academic All-Big Ten honors and claimed a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the Spring of 2013.

2012 (Sophomore)
Jackson set an indoor season-best and team-leading mark of 50-6 (15.39) in the shot put at the Nebraska Tune-Up on Feb. 17... finished 14th in the shot put at the 2012 Big Ten Indoor Championships with a throw of 49-2 1/2... recorded a season-best mark of 52-2 (15.90) in the shot put at the NCAA West Regional on May 24, finishing 14th... notched a personal-best throw of 152-00 (46.33) in the discus at the K.T. Woodman Classic on April 14... finished 13th in the shot put at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a throw of 48-7 1/4 (14.81)... was an academic All-Big Ten selection.

2011 (Redshirt Freshman)
Jackson competed at both the 2011 Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Championships, earning All-Big 12 honors in the shot put... set a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 50-10 at the Texas A&M Challenge... recorded a personal-best 56-5 1/4 (17.20) in the weight throw at the Frank Sevigne Invitational... finished sixth in the shot put at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a personal-best throw of 52-4 1/2 (15.96) to claim All-Big 12 accolades... notched a personal-best 167-7 (51.07) in the hammer throw at the Tom Jones Memorial on April 16.

2010 (Redshirt)
Jackson redshirted her first year at Nebraska, but competed as an unattached athlete while she developed into a weight and hammer thrower... recorded a season best of 46-7 1/2 (14.21) in the weight throw at the Holiday Inn Invitational... ended the indoor season with a shot put best of 48-4 (14.73)... finished fifth at the Nebraska Open during the outdoor season with a hammer throw of 154-9 (47.16).

Before Nebraska (Tekamah-Herman)
A four-time qualifier in the shot put at the Nebraska State Track and Field Meet in Class C, Jackson won the state title as a junior and senior at Tekamah-Herman High School under Coach Leah Bryant... tossed 43-7 1/2 to win her first title as a junior... returned as a senior to win with a mark of 44-8 1/2... set a personal best and the school record at the 2009 C-4 District meet with throw of 46-6 3/4... set the school record in the discus with a toss of 135-1... set multiple school records in basketball and volleyball.
