Before Nebraska (Scottsbluff HS)

Daron Pattinson joins Nebraska after a stellar career at Scottsbluff High School under Coach Jim Barker... qualified for the Nebraska Class B state meet during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons... finished second in the 100 (11.07) and 200 (22.78) meters and fourth in the long jump (21-5 1/2) at the 2007 state meet... returned as a senior to finish third in the 100 meters (10.97), second in the 200 meters (22.42) and led off the Bearcats’ 4x400-meter relay that won the All-Class gold medal with a time of 3:22.47... set a personal-best time of 10.74 at the B-6 district meet in 2008... finished sixth in the 100 and fifth in the 200 as a sophomore... ran the 200 meters at the Class A meet as a freshman... chose Nebraska over Wyoming, South Dakota State, Chadron State and Nebraska-Kearney.
