Tyler Throener (pronounced Trainer) redshirted both the indoor and outdoor seasons in his first year at Nebraska... competed three times during the indoor season, improving his time in the 60-meter hurdles at every meet... posted a personal-best time of 8.60 at the Cornhusker Last Chance to finish fifth.

 

Before Nebraska (Norfolk Catholic HS)

Throener was a key component of Norfolk Catholic winning the 2007 Nebraska Class B State Track and Field Championships... placed third and fourth in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, respectively... as a junior placed fourth in the 110 hurdles in the 2006 state meet... ran career-best 14.4 at the 2007 Nebraska District B-4 championships... 39.7 personal-best in the 300 hurdles came at the 2007 Norfolk Catholic Invitational... coached by Tim Kassmeier.
