2009 (Junior)

Lisa Minnick continued her development in the weight and hammer throws by setting personal bests in both events... entered the indoor season with a weight throw best of 53-8, which she improved at three consecutive meets... threw 54-2 3/4 at the Conference Challenge to finish third and then finished runner-up at the next two meets with throws of 55-5 3/4 and 58-4 3/4 at the adidas Classic and Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational, respectively... competed at the Big 12 Indoor Championships for the first time in her career, placing 11th with a toss of 54-2 1/2... opened the outdoor season by breaking her previous best of 172-11 in the hammer throw with a toss of 177-0 at the Stanford Invitational... bettered the mark later in the year at three consecutive meets... started at the Drake Relays (179-4), before improving at the Nebraska Quad (182-3) and Ward Haylett Invitational (183-2)... ended the year with a 20th-place finish at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships and a 13th-place showing at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

 

2008 (Sophomore)

Minnick placed in the top 10 in the weight throw at five of her six indoor meets... posted a then-personal-best toss of 53-8 to finish fifth at the adidas Classic... broke her previous best by nine feet in the hammer throw (160-10) at the Jim Click Shootout to open the outdoor season... earned back-to-back victories at the Doane Relays (161-5) and Nebraska Open (168-6)... set a then-personal best at the Ward Haylett Invitational with a throw of 172-11 (52.71) ... finished 13th at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships (151-8) for the second straight year.

 

2007 (Redshirt Freshman)

Minnick made her collegiate debut during the outdoor season, competing in the hammer throw, where she finished 13th with a season best of 151-10... notched a season-best finish of fifth with a toss of 136-8 at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational.

 

2006 (Freshman)

Minnick redshirted during both the indoor and outdoor seasons... competed unattached indoors in the shot put (34-2) and weight throw (132-11 1/4) at the Nebraska Wesleyan Triangular, as well as the shot (34-5) at the Prairie Wolf Invitational... also competed unattached outdoors in the shot (36-7 3/4) and hammer throw (130-8) at the Nebraska Invite.  

 

Before Nebraska (Cambridge HS)

Minnick was a three-time qualifier to the Nebraska state meet in the shot put and discus at Cambridge High School under coaches Lauri Farr and Mike Shoff... finished runner-up in the shot put at the Class D state meet as a senior in 2005 with a heave of 39-10, while also placing fourth in the discus with a personal-best spin of 120-11... competed in both events at the Class C state meet as a junior in 2004 and a sophomore in 2003... was class valedictorian and also a member of the National Honor Society.
