Joslyn Dalton set five personal bests in her final year at Nebraska, while also earning her fifth All-Big 12 honor... set her first PR at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in the mile run... ran 4:58.39 to finish sixth... set a PR in the 5,000 meters one week later at the Tyson Invitational, finishing second with a time of 17:24.00... set two personal bests at the Big 12 Indoor Championships with times of 2:53.58 in the 1,000 meters and 9:53.25 in the 3,000 meters... specialized in the 3,000-meter steeplechase during the outdoor season... opened at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 10:37.75 to finish third in section No. 2... broke her previous best of 10:35.12 at the Payton Jordan Invitational with a time of 10:28.01... was one of four Huskers to place in the steeplechase at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, coming in fifth with a time of 10:49.16... ended the season at the NCAA Midwest Regional, where she finished 12th with a time of 10:39.20... ranks in the top 25 in six different events on NU's all-time performance lists, including top-10 rankings in the indoor DMR (6th), 3,000-meter steeplechase (3rd) and outdoor DMR (8th).
2008 (Junior)
Dalton followed her final cross country season with a stellar indoor track and field season that saw her set four personal bests... kicked off the indoor season at the Holiday Inn Invite with a time of 17:29.35 in the 5,000 meters to finish first and post the No. 13 all-time indoor time at NU... followed with a personal-best time of 2:55.23 in the 1,000 meters the following week at the Conference Challenge... finished sixth in the 3,000 meters the next week at the Frank Sevigne Nebraska Invitational with a personal-best time of 9:54.70... competed in the mile the following week at the adidas Classic, running a personal-best 4:58.36... earned a medal at the Big 12 Indoor Championships for the third straight year as a member of the distance-medley relay team... focused on the 3,000-meter steeplechase during the outdoor season... finished runner-up to teammate Rachel Carrizales at the Jim Click Shootout... qualified for the NCAA Midwest Regional with a season-best time of 10:36.20 at the Mt. SAC Relays... finished third at the Drake Relays and 11th at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships... finished the outdoor season at the NCAA Midwest Regional by finishing 18th.
2007 (Sophomore)
Dalton advanced to the NCAA Midwest Outdoor Regional in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a fifth-place finish (10:38.79) at the Big 12 Championships... bettered her time by more than three seconds a week later with a career-best time of 10:35.12 at the regional, but failed to qualify for the NCAA Championships... moved into fourth in the NU steeplechase record books with her time at the regional... won the steeplechase at the Nebraska Invite (10:48.18)... finished second at the John Jacobs Invite with a season-best time of 4:45.06 in the 1,500 meters... grabbed her first title of the year with a first-place showing in the 5,000 meters (17:55.06) at the Holiday Inn Invite... went on to better that time (17:40.59) at the Husker Invite.
2006 (Redshirt Freshman)
Dalton competed indoors for the Huskers as a redshirt freshman before missing the outdoor campaign while rehabbing a muscle imbalance... ran the 1,600-meter leg of NU’s sixth-place distance-medley relay (11:44.68) at the Big 12 indoor meet... focused individually on the mile and 3,000 meters indoors, improving her times nearly every week during the season... set a personal-best time of 5:02.46 in the mile to finish third at the Prairie Wolf Invite... recorded her career best of 10:03.54 in the 3,000 at the Husker Invite... won the mile at the season-opening Holiday Inn Invite (5:07.92), while also running on the winning distance-medley relay.
2005 (Freshman)
Dalton redshirted during both the indoor and outdoor seasons in her first year at Nebraska, but competed for the Huskers in cross country.
Before Nebraska (Fremont HS)
Dalton joined the Huskers following an outstanding prep career at Fremont High School under Coach Eric Whitemore... was a four-time Nebraska state champion during her senior year... at the 2004 Nebraska Class A state meet, she won all-class gold medals in the 1,600 (5:02.85), 3,200 (11:27.88) and the 4x800-meter relay (9:29.55) in extremely hot, humid and windy conditions... finished fifth in the 1,600, third in the 3,200, and second in the 4x800-meter relay in the 2003 Nebraska Class A state meet... anchored the 4x800-meter relay that finished fourth in the state meet as a sophomore... was a four-time state qualifier in cross country, winning the 2004 All-Class gold medal in 15:10.61 for the 4,000-meter distance... recorded her personal-best 3,200-meter time of 11:09.28 at the 2004 Millard South Invitational... was a member of the National Honor Society... chose Nebraska over Kansas and Texas.
