2008 (Senior)

Aaron Bozarth hit his stride in his senior season, making trips to the indoor and outdoor Big 12 Conference Championships and setting a personal best in the hammer throw... finished in the top 20 at all seven meets during the indoor season, including five top-10 finishes... posted highest finish at the adidas Classic in Lincoln with a third-place throw of 56-11 1/2 (17.36)... saved best throw of the season for the Big 12 Indoor Championships...  finished ninth with a toss of 58-3 (17.75)... finished in the top 20 at all nine meets during the outdoor season... won the Doane Relays with a career-best throw of 187-9 (57.22)... finished 11th at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships (177-10)... ended Husker career at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a ninth-place throw of 186-10 (56.94)... leaves Nebraska ranked 14th in the weight throw and 12th in the hammer throw.

2007 (Junior)
Bozarth emerged as a much improved hammer thrower for Nebraska in 2007... set a personal best mark of 54-10 1/4 at the adidas Classic in the weight throw... made even greater strides in the hammer throw during the outdoor season, setting personal bests in the event five times... advanced to the NCAA Midwest Regional on a personal-best toss of 184-10 at the Nebraska Open almost 25 feet beyond his personal best in 2006... finished ninth at the Big 12 Championships (178-6) before finishing 19th (173-8) at the NCAA Midwest Region Championships.

 

2006 (Sophomore)

Bozarth continued to make strides in the hammer and weight throws during his first season in Lincoln... shattered his previous career best in the weight throw with a mark of 52-1 3/4 at the Prairie Wolf Invitational... previously set a personal mark of 48-2 1/2 at the adidas Classic... opened the outdoor season with a personal best of 167-0 in the hammer at the Stanford Invite... earned runner-up honors at the Emporia State Relays (164-2).

 

2005 (Redshirt)
Bozarth redshirted during both indoor and outdoor seasons in his first year at NU... competed unattached outdoors in the hammer at the Doane Relays, Nebraska Wesleyan Twilight and Nebraska Invite.

 

Before Nebraska (Briar Cliff)
Bozarth transferred to Nebraska from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, where he set the school record for the indoor 35-pound weight throw... set the school record in the hammer throw (149-7) at the 2004 Sioux City Relays... also set the school record in the shot put outdoors (47-10) at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships, where he finished seventh.

 

High School (Lincoln East) 

Bozarth had his best high school performance in the shot put at the 2003 Nebraska Class A state meet when he finished sixth (56-0) under Coach John Gingery... also qualified for the state meet as a junior, but did not score.

Aaron is majoring in nutritional science and dietetics... parents are Dennis and Carol Bozarth... born Sept. 27, 1985.
