2007: Issar Yazhbin qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the second time in his career with a school-record and third-place toss of 207-7 at the NCAA Midwest Regional... placed 17th at the national meet with a throw of 202-7... was named a First-Team Academic All-American for his success on and off the track... graduated in May 2008 with a degree in biological systems engineering.

2006: Yazhbin redshirted both indoor and outdoor seasons while rehabbing a groin injury.

2005: Yazhbin improved his marks in both the weight and hammer throws as a sophomore... finished runner-up in the hammer throw at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a personal-best spin... took the lead on his last attempt before being passed on the next throw... finished 15th at the NCAA outdoor meet with a mark of 200-1... qualified for the national meet with a seventh-place finish (197-1) at the tough NCAA Midwest Regional... became the first Israeli athlete to surpass the 60-foot barrier in the 35-pound weight throw with a heave of 60-1 to open the indoor season at the Holiday Inn Invitational... claimed eighth place at the Big 12 indoor meet (60-11 1/4)... threw the weight a career-long 61-5 at the Iowa State Classic... won the hammer throw at the Nebraska Invite (204-10) and Doane Relays (193-5)... finished eighth at the Drake Relays (192-9)... placed eighth in the weight throw at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite (61-3), while finishing runner-up at the adidas Classic (59-8 1/2).

2004: Yazhbin won the Big 12 title in the hammer throw in his first year as a Husker with a mark of 203-8... collected first-place finishes in the hammer at the Jim Click Shootout (195-4), Emporia State Relays (197-5) and K.T. Woodman Classic (183-1)... placed sixth at the Midwest Regional after recording a toss of 202-3... qualified for regionals by spinning a season best of 204-1 at the Ward Haylett Invite... competed only once during the indoor season, recording a season-best throw of 52-3 3/4 in the weight throw at the Holiday Inn Invite.

High School: Served three years mandatory military service in the Israeli Air Force following graduation from Ginsburg... holds the junior/youth Israeli national records in the hammer... was a six-time junior/youth national champion in the hammer... also won the 2004 senior national championship... claimed five junior/youth national championships in the discus and two in the javelin.
