High School: Linnea Hopp started her senior year strong by setting an indoor 800-meter run personal-best time of 2:20.12 at the Buena Vista High School Indoor... ran several outdoor meets in early April before being sidelined with a stress fracture in her femur... finished fifth in the 2002 Iowa Class 2A state meet in the 800-meter run (2:19.01)... was also the anchor for both the 4x400-meter and 4x800-meter relays which placed second and third, respectively... as a sophomore was runner-up in the 2001 Iowa Class 3A 800-meter run in a personal-best 2:15.27... was the anchor of Harlan’s 4x400-meter relay which placed fourth in the 2001 Class 3A state meet... placed fourth in the 2000 Iowa Class 3A 400-meter dash (58.84) as a freshman.
