2006: Maduza attended Wisconsin during the fall 2005 semester before transferring back to Nebraska to compete for the Husker track and field team in January... focused primarily on the 5,000-meter run indoors, breaking his personal best twice during the season... posted a career-low time on the oversize track at the Iowa State Classic... ran a lifetime best in the 3,000 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... competed twice outdoors, with a third-place finish in the 5,000 at the Emporia State Relays (15:30.53)... clocked a career-best time in the 10,000 at the Drake Relays. 2005: Maduza competed only once as a sophomore, in the 5,000 at the Emporia State Relays. 2004: Maduza competed indoors for NU during his freshman campaign before redshirting the outdoor season in order to prepare for the 2004 cross country season... improved on a consistent basis during the indoor season, setting personal-best marks each time he competed... lowered his 3,000-meter time from 9:12.25 at the Panther Open to 8:56.70 at the adidas Classic... ran a then-career-best time of 4:31.61 in the mile at the Prairie Wolf Invite... his 5,000-meter time of 15:45.01 at the Holiday Inn Invite was also a previous personal best. High School: Maduza battled injuries his senior year at Shorewood High School, but managed to finish fourth in the 3,200 meters in 9:47.96 at the 2003 Wisconsin Division 2 state championships... ran a career-best 9:46.1 in the 3,200-meter run at the 2003 Tiger Invitational... clocked a personal-best 4:33.86 in the indoor 1,600 meters at the 2003 University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Invitational.
