2004: Dusty Stamer burst onto the Nebraska track and field scene in 2004, earning NCAA All-America honors and qualifying for both the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships... anchored the 4x400-meter relay team to a time of 39.90 to earn eighth place at the NCAA Outdoor Championships... broke the school record in the preliminary round (39.41) to qualify for the finals... the 4x100-meter relay also won the Big 12 Conference outdoor title by posting a 39.76... individually, Stamer finished 12th in the 60-meter dash at indoor nationals (6.76), as well as 12th in the 100 at outdoor nationals with a career-best time of 10.24... recorded a wind-aided 10.21 in the 100 to win bronze at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet... won silver in the 60 meters (6.68) at the Big 12 Indoor Championships after recording a personal-best 6.65 in the semifinals... finished fourth in the 100 at the outdoor conference meet in 10.68, while the 4x400-meter relay team took gold in 39.76... set an indoor personal-best 22.20 in the 200 meters at the Holiday Inn Invitational... won gold in the 60 meters at the Panther Open, while taking second at the adidas Classic (6.71) and Holiday Inn Invite (6.67)... also placed first outdoors in the 100 at the Jim Click Shootout (10.37) and Nebraska Quadrangular (10.28), and finished in second place at the Ward Haylett Invitational (10.41). 2003: Stamer was a reserve wide receiver on the NU football team... ran the team-best 10-yard (1.53 seconds) and 40-yard dashes (4.44) following completion of the six-week Husker football winter conditioning program... his 4.44 40-yard dash time was the fastest recorded on the FieldTurf surface used by the Huskers. High School: Was the 1999 and 2000 Nebraska Class A state and All-Class gold medal champion in the 100-meter dash with times of 10.60 and 10.70, respectively... in 2002 also won the 200-meter title in a personal-best 22.51 as well as running the anchor leg on the 41.91 4x400-meter relay team that won the All-Class gold medal... in 1999 he anchored the 4x400-meter relay team to a second-place finish... fastest 200-meter dash time of 22.1 was run in the 2000 Heartland Conference Championships in both the prelims and the finals.
