2023-24 (Graduate)
Emily Haimes was a significant contributor to the Husker’s relay success this season. The graduate student from Enfield, London, England was a part of eight winning relays and teamed up with Caitlin Cairns, JoJo Randby and Beatrix Tanko to log the second-fastest 200 medley relay time in school history at the Big Ten Championships. She helped the group to an eighth-place finish, with a time of 1:39.42. 

At the mid-season Hawkeye Invitational, Haimes competed in the finals of four individual events. She had her best finish of the meet in the 50 freestyle. Haimes posted a season-best 23.29 for a sixth-place finish. She added 10th and 12th-place finishes in the 100 freestyle (51.35) and the 100 butterfly (55.96). In a dual with Kansas (Nov 3.), Haimes picked up a pair of first-place finishes. She logged a time of 23.97 in the 50 freestyle and finished the 100 freestyle in 51.76.

2022-23 (Senior)
Haimes made a significant impact for the Huskers during her senior campaign, both in individual events and relays. The senior from London contributed in four relays at the Big Ten Championships, including the ninth-place 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. Haimes' top individual finish at conference was in the 100 butterfly, where she placed 35th with a time of 55.88. At the Minnesota and South Dakota double-dual, Haimes took third in the 100 butterfly with a 56.73 and fourth in the 50 freestyle with a 24.30. She followed that up with three straight 100 butterfly victories in duals with Iowa (55.72), Kansas (56.67) and Omaha (56.22).

At the Hawkeye Invitational, Haimes earned a spot in the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly A Finals, placing sixth in both. Haimes was a member of three third-place relays at the mid-season invitational, including the 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle and 200 medley relays. Throughout the season, Haimes contributed to seven winning relays.

2021-22 (Junior)
Haimes had a solid start in her first season at Nebraska, highlighted by a relay victory in the 400 freestyle relay and a runner-up finish in the 100 freestyle at the Iowa dual (Oct. 23). She continued to excel in the sprints as October closed, racing to a runner-up finish against Iowa State and a fifth-place finish against Minnesota in the 50 freestyle.

During the dual against the Jayhawks (Nov. 5), the junior from Enfield, London, notched a pair of third-place finishes in the 50 free and 100 free. Haimes qualified for the finals in the 100 freestyle at the Mizzou Invitational (Nov. 17-19), where she went on to finish eighth with a 50.71. She added a 10th-place finish in the 50 freestyle (23.35) and an 11th-place finish in the 100 butterfly (56.75). Haimes capped off the dual season with four top-five finishes between the 50 free and 100 free at the Illinois and Rutgers duals.

At the 2022 Big Ten Championships, Haimes was an asset in the relays, swimming in the 200 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Haimes placed 33rd in the 100 fly, while also competing in the 50- and 100-freestyle events.

2020-21 (Sophomore/West Virginia)
As a sophomore at West Virginia in 2021, Haimes claimed First-Team All-Big 12 honors again by racing to a third-place finish in the 100 butterfly (54.13). She added a sixth-place finish in the 100 free (50.18) and an eighth-place finish in the 50 free (23.20), while swimming a leg on WVU’s 200 free relay team that was the Big 12 runner-up in a school-record time of 1:31.05. She also contributed on the Mountaineer 200 medley and 400 medley relays at the Big 12 meet. 

2019-20 (Freshman/West Virginia)
Haimes earned first-team All-Big 12 honors as a freshman at West Virginia in 2019-20 with her fourth-place finish in the 50 freestyle (22.98) at the Big 12 Championships. As a freshman for the Mountaineers, she added a seventh-place finish in the 100 free (50.52) at the Big 12 Championships, while also winning the B final in the 100 butterfly (55.33) at the 2020 Big 12 meet. Haimes also competed as a member of the 200 free, 400 free and 400 medley relay teams at the Big 12 meet. She contributed to a third-place finish in the 400 free. 

Before Nebraska
Haimes swam for Coach Emma Collings-Barnes at Mount Kelly High School. Haimes won one silver and two bronze medals at the 2019 British Summer Championships. 

Personal
The daughter of Kevin and Rachel Haimes, Emily was born on May 11, 2001. She has one brother. A psychology/history major, Haimes was a CSC Academic All-District choice and an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar in 2023. She was also a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and an Academic All-Big Ten honoree. Haimes is a three-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and an Academic All-Big Ten selection in 2023. She was also a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2023 and a Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection at West Virginia in 2019-20.
