2015-16 (Senior)
Katie Ditter finished her senior season as a Husker by grabbing 14 top-five finishes, with a majority of those coming in the 100-yard breaststroke. Ditter also set three personal bests in her top three events. At the Big Challenge, Ditter swam 1:02.87 in the 100-yard breaststroke. During the Big Ten Championships, Ditter swam the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:16.75 on her way to a 34th-place finish. She added a time of 2:04.00 in the 200 IM to take 50th at the Big Ten Championships. Ditter also excelled in the classroom, capturing academic All-Big Ten honors for the second consecutive season. She also earned a place on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for the third straight year.

2014-15 (Junior)
During Ditter’s third season as a Husker, she accumulated 11 top-five finishes. Ditter notched her highest finish of the season by racing to a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke against Omaha. The Ralston, Neb., native set a season best time in the 200-yard IM at the 2015 Big Ten Championships. Ditter swam a time of 2:05.53, earning her 59th place. Ditter also starred in the classroom, claiming academic All-Big Ten honors in 2015.

2013-14 (Sophomore)
Ditter performed well for the Huskers in 2013-14, settting personal bests in four of her five events. Ditter set three then-career bests at the Big Ten Championships with times of 1:02.93 in the 100-yard breaststroke, 2:16.96 in the 200-yard breastroke, and 2:07.20 in the 200-yard individual medley. Her time in the 100-yard breaststroke was 3.10 faster than her previous best, while her time in the 200-yard individual medley was 5.45 faster. Ditter also earned herself four top-five places, with her best finish of second place coming in the 50-yard breaststroke against Northern Iowa.

2012-13 (Freshman)
Ditter got a taste of collegiate competition in 2012-13, competing in six different events for the Huskers as a freshman. She notched one top-five finish on the season, claiming a victory in the process. Her time of 1:08.57 in the 100-yard breaststroke earned Ditter the win against Northern Iowa. She also set a then-personal-best time in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.02) and 200 IM (2:12.65) at December’s GNST SWIMvite. In the classroom, Ditter earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall semester of 2012.

Previous
Ditter earned All-River Cities Conference honors for Coach Docker Hartfield at Ralston High School. A breaststroke specialist, Ditter swam the fastest time in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Nebraska High School State Championships in both her junior and senior years. Ditter was also a middle hitter on the Rams’ volleyball team and an honor roll student.

Personal
The daughter of Randy and Julie Ditter, Katie was born Nov. 28, 1993, in Omaha, Neb. She has a brother, Will. Katie majored in marketing and management at Nebraska, earning her bachelor's degree in December of 2016. She was a two-time academic All-Big Ten selection. She was a six-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection and a three-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
