2015-16 (Senior)
Alexandra Bilunas totaled 10 top-five finishes in her final year as a Husker, including six second-place performances. Bilunas was a strong performer in the 50-yard freestyle with five of her second-place finshes coming in the event. Bilunas swam one of her best races of the season in the 50-yard freestyle at the Big Challenge. Bilunas earned second-place in the race, finishing behind fellow Husker Taryn Collura. At the 2016 Big Ten Championships, her highest finish came in the 50-yard freestyle with a 26th-place performance. Bilunas also set a new career-best at the Championships, swimming a time of 59.03 in the 100-yard backstroke. She earned academic All-Big Ten honors for third consecutive season.

2014-15 (Junior)
Bilunas was a strong contributor for the Huskers during her junior season, amassing 12 top-five finishes and four victories. She notched her highest Big Ten Championships finish, earning 15th place in the 50-yard freestyle and an NCAA B Cut. Bilunas also set a career-best time in the 100-yard freestyle racing to a time of 50.74 at the Big Ten Championships. Bilunas continued to star in the classroom, earning academic All-Big Ten honors and her degree in biological sciences.

2013-14 (Sophomore)
Bilunas produced a strong 2013-14 season, compiling 11 top-five finishes. The Omaha native set career bests in all four of her events. Three of her career bests came at the Big Ten Championships. Bilunas raced to times of 22.91 in the 50-yard freestyle, 50.96 in the 100-yard freestyle, and 55.94 in the 100-yard butterfly. In the classroom, Bilunas earned academic All-Big Ten recognition.

2012-13 (Freshman)
Bilunas did not compete in 2012-13 after transferring from the U.S. Naval Academy before the season. In the classroom, she earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2013.

Previous
A decorated athlete, Bilunas was a three-time state champion at Duchesne Academy in Omaha and owns the fourth-fastest time in the 50-yard freestyle in the state of Nebraska. An eight-time All-American, Bilunas was Duchesne’s team captain as a senior and was named the school’s Athlete of the Year in 2010-11. Bilunas helped propel Duchesne to three River City Conference titles and captured 14 medals at the Nebraska state championships. Bilunas was a member of Duchesne’s National Honor Society and a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient. Bilunas graduated from Duchesne Academy in 2011 before spending her freshman season at the U.S. Naval Academy in 2011-12.

Personal
The daughter of Joseph and Carol Bilunas, Alexandra was born May 6, 1993, in Omaha, Neb. She has one sister, Brianna, Alexandra earned her degree in biological sciences at Nebraska and is now attending graduate school studying food science. She claimed academic All-Big Ten honors in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and she is a four-time selection to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
