2012-13 (Senior)
Sara Weinberg saved her best for last, ending her career with three personal-best times at the 2013 Big Ten Championships in Minneapolis. Weinberg swam career-best times of 24.75 in the 50 free, 53.54 in the 100 free, and 1:56.41 in the 200 free to close out her career.

Weinberg continued to find success in the classroom, earning her second-straight academic All-Big Ten honors in 2013. The selection also marked Weinberg’s third consecutive academic all-conference award.

2011-12 (Junior)
Weinberg set a personal-best mark in the 50-yard freestyle (23.84) against Iowa State as a junior for the Huskers, shaving nearly a full second off her previous best set at the Big 12 Championships in 2011. Her time in the event against the Cyclones was good for a runner-up finish. The North Dakota native also excelled in the classroom, earning academic All-Big Ten honors.

2010-11 (Sophomore)
Weinberg set three career-best times at the 2011 Big 12 Championships, including a then-career-best 24.82 in the 50-yard freestyle. The sophomore finished in the top-five individually three times during the season. The freestyle specialist also starred in the classroom, earning first-team academic All-Big 12 honors in 2011. Weinberg added spots on the Big12 Commissioner's fall and spring Honor Rolls.

2009-10 (Freshman)
Weinberg competed in seven different events as a freshman, focusing on the freestyle events. Her best meet came against South Dakota State when she earned two fifth-place finishes in the 50- and 500-yard freestyle races. In addition, Weinberg set three then-personal-bests at the Big 12 Championships in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard freestyle races.

Previous
Weinberg swam for Coach Loic Joseph at Century High School in Bismarck, N.D. She was a part of the state champion 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay teams as a senior, as Century took third overall at state. She ranked in the top 16 in the state from seventh grade on, including having the second-fastest 50- and 100-yard freestyle times as a junior. Weinberg was a first-team all-state and all-conference honoree as a senior.

Personal
Sara was born on Oct. 19, 1990, in Bismarck, N.D. She is the daughter of Kurt and Pat Weinberg, and has one sister, Katie, and one brother, Luke. She majored in both nutrition, exercise and health science and dietetics, earning her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in December of 2013. She earned academic All-Big Ten honors in 2012 and 2013 and was a first-team academic All-Big 12 pick in 2011. Weinberg was also a four-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
