2012-13 (Sophomore)
Paige Theilen (THEE-linn) continued to provide depth in the freestyle events for the Huskers in 2012-13. The sophomore competed in the 50-, 100-, and 200-yard freestyles, recording two top-five finishes in the 50 free on the season. Theilen placed fourth against Northern Iowa (26.01) and fifth against Nebraska-Omaha (26.02) in the event. Her best finish in the 100 free was 12th (57.88) against North Dakota/St. Cloud State in the first meet of the year.

In the classroom, Theilen earned academic All-Big Ten honors and was selected to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2012-13.

2011-12 (Freshman)
Theilen completed her freshman season in impressive style, competing in five events for the Huskers in 2011-12. The Columbus, Neb., native earned three top-five finishes on the season, including a pair of fourth-place showings. Theilen set three personal-best times at the 2012 Big Ten Championships (50 free, 24.25; 100 free, 52.01; 200 free, 1:56.33).  

Theilen also performed well in the classroom, earning selections to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall semester of 2011 and spring semester of 2012. 

Previous
Theilen joined the Nebraska swimming and diving squad after a strong prep career at Columbus High School. A three-time school record holder, Theilen notched the fastest time in school history in the 100-yard freestyle in 2009. She was also part of the record 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay for the Discoverers. Theilen finished fifth at the 2011 Nebraska High School State Meet in the 200-yard freestyle and earned a sixth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle. She also received offers from South Dakota State and South Dakota before choosing to attend Nebraska.

Personal
The daughter of Tom and Kelly Theilen, Paige was born on Dec. 8, 1992. Paige has a brother, Jordan, and a sister, Alyssa. Paige is an agricultural business major and earned academic All-Big Ten honors in 2013. She also claimed spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters of 2011-12 and 2012-13.
