2012-13 (Senior)
Katie Davis finished her time as a Husker with the best meet of her career, setting three career-best times at the 2013 Big Ten Championships. The Lincoln, Neb., native swam times of 2:01.79 in the 200-yard backstroke, 2:03.27 in the 200-yard individual medley, and 4:21.77 in the 400-yard individual medley, setting Nebraska season bests in the 200 IM and 400 IM. Overall, Davis recorded nine top-five finishes on the season, including wins in the 200 IM against Nebraska-Omaha and Northern Iowa.

In addition to her success in the pool, Davis was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and garnered academic All-Big Ten honors in 2013 and earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both semesters of 2012-13.

2011-12 (Junior)
Davis joined the Husker swimming and diving squad as a transfer and made an immediate impact on the team. In the seven events she competed, Davis finished in the top five 12 times, including a first-place finish in the 400-yard IM against Iowa State (4:32.46). Davis also earned five runner-up finishes over the course of the season.

Davis was a standout in the classroom in her first year at Nebraska, claiming a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar award. She also earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2011-12. 

2008-10 (Freshman, Sophomore)
Davis swam for Arkansas before transferring to Nebraska after her sophomore season. At Arkansas, Davis posted nine top-five finishes, with eight of them coming in the backstroke events. Her best time in the 100 back came in a competition against Kentucky and Missouri in the second half of the season, while her best in the 200 back came at the SEC Championships. Davis took the 2010-11 season off from swimming before returning to the pool for her junior season.

Previous
Davis won both conference and Nebraska state championships in the 100-yard backstroke as a junior at Lincoln Northeast and was named Wendy's Heisman Female Athlete her senior year. She was named the most outstanding female swimmer two times and was in the NISCA Top 16 twice. Davis broke school records in the 200 IM, 100 free and 100 fly for the Rockets. She also broke the 100-yard backstroke record in a competition at Lincoln East.

Personal
Katie was born on June 9, 1989, in Lincoln, Neb and is the daughter of Mike and Abbe Davis. She has a brother, Chris, and a sister, Tori. Davis was a volunteer with Heartland Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and she majored in elementary education and mild moderate disabilities education. She earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in December of 2013. Davis was named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2012 and 2013, while earning academic All-Big Ten honors in 2013. She also earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall semesters of 2011 and 2012, as well as the spring semester of 2012 and 2013.
