Sophomore (2009-10)
Bolinske ended her sophomore season strong, setting personal bests in each of her three events at the Big 12 Championships. Her career-best times came in the 100- and 200-yard breast and the 200-yard IM. She also notched three top-five finishes, including a second-place showing against South Dakota in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:02.22.
Freshman (2008-09)
Bolinske had a solid first season at Nebraska, contributing for the Huskers in the breaststroke and individual medley events. Bolinske produced a fifth-place finish in the 25-yard breaststroke against Nebraska-Omaha in her best showing of the season. She continually improved throughout the year, capping the season with three career-best times at the Big 12 Championships, including a 25th-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. Her time of 1:07.35 in the 100 breast was ranked fifth on the team in 2008-09.
Before Nebraska
Bolinske swam at Williston High School and was the 2006 North Dakota Class A 100 breaststroke state champion. She was also part of the 2005 state championship freestyle relay team. Bolinske swam for the Williston Sea Lions club team for her mother and coach, Jody. Bailey won multiple state championships as a club swimmer. Bolinske was a first-team All-State selection every year from 2003 to 2007, and was the Western Division Senior Athlete of the Year.
Personal
Bailey was born on Aug. 19, 1989, in Rapid City, S.D. She is the daughter of Brian and Jody Bolinske. Bailey has one sister, Kaitlin, and one brother, Ben. She is majoring in civil engineering and is a two-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
