2010-11 (Senior)
Claire Desormey finished her career at Nebraska in strong fashion, tallying four top-five finishes in her final season. Desormey's senior year was highlighted by two fourth-place finishes at the Citrus Classic in Mesa, Ariz., in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle. Desormey added a pair of fifth-place showings against Iowa State and UNO in the 100- and 50-yard freestyle, respectively. Desormey was also a standout in the classroom, earning a spot on both the fall 2010 and spring 2011 Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2009-10 (Junior)
Desormey made solid improvements in 2009-10, including top-six finishes on four occasions. She notched a season-best second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle at South Dakota in November. She also finished third in the event at South Dakota State in December. She set personal-best times in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle with times of 24.47 and 52.74, respectively, at the Big 12 Championships in College Station, Texas.

2008-09 (Sophomore)
Desormey's sophomore season saw her finish in the top eight seven times throughout the year, including a third-place finish against South Dakota State in the 200-yard butterfly, the only time during the season that the sprint freestyle specialist raced in that event. She also swam the 100-yard butterfly at the Texas Invitational, and her time of 1:00.14 was the team's fifth-fastest time of the season. Desormey finished the season with career-best times in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard freestyles at the Big 12 Championships in Columbia, Mo.

2007-08 (Freshman)
Desormey produced a solid freshman campaign in 2007-08. In Nebraska's first meet against Illinois, Desormey finished fifth in the 100-yard freestyle, helping NU secure a 172-126 team victory. She had a total of five top-five finishes on the year, including a pair of third-place showings against South Dakota State. Desormey improved throughout the year, finishing with three career-best times at the Big 12 Championships in the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free.

Previous
Desormey qualified for the Illinois state meet all four years, earning 2005 and 2006 All-America honors as a member of the 400- and 200-yard freestyle relay teams. During her junior season, Desormey competed at the state meet in four events (100-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley and 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays), including an 11th-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay. In club action, she qualified for the 2006 U.S. Open national meet, finishing 14th in the 50-yard freestyle. A dual-sport athlete, the all-conference and four-year letterwinner in swimming also lettered two years in water polo.

Personal
The daughter of Neil and Renee Desormey, Claire was born on Feb. 4, 1989 in Downer's Grove, Ill. She has one sister, Olivia. Claire is a graphic design and art major at Nebraska. In high school, she was a three-time recipient of the Breakfast of Champions award.She is a five-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
