2010-11 Season Outlook
Lydia Ridgeway got her first taste of collegiate swimming by competing for approximately half of the 2009-10 campaign. She has shown potential with strong outings in the 200-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard butterfly.

2009-10 (Freshman)
Ridgeway was a reliable relay competitor while adding notable performances at meets throughout the season. Ridgeway earned a second-place finish at South Dakota in the 200-yard backstroke and a third-place finish against Nebraska-Omaha in the 200-yard butterfly. She swam to NU's fifth-fastest time of the season in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.01 at the Missouri Invite.

Previous
Lydia Ridgeway was a two-sport standout at St. Ignatius College Prep High School in Chicago, competing for both the swimming and water polo teams. She was an honorable-mention All-American in swimming, and also picked up all-conference honors and was named her conference's Swimmer of the Year as a senior. Ridgeway's water polo team also took second in the state her senior year.

Personal
Lydia was born on March 14, 1991, in Evanston, Ill. She is the daughter of Michael and Jean Ridgeway, and has two brothers, James and Paul, and one sister, Rachel. Lydia has not declared a major at Nebraska.
