2002-03 Season Outlook
The lone senior on the diving side, Jeni Fortino (pronounced: Four-Tee-no) will look to qualify for the NCAA Zone meet during her senior season. An NCAA qualifier as a freshman in 2000, Fortino will work to make the leap into the top 10 at the Big 12 Conference meet. Fortino's top score on the three meter came against Georgia in 2001, when she won the event with a score of 378.

2001-02 (Junior)
Fortino solidified the Husker diving corps last season and provided leadership after rejoining the team at the semester break...ended junior season with a 14th-place finish on the platform at the Big 12 meet, as she was the only Husker to compete on the platform at the conference meet....finished 24th on the three meter and 18th on the one meter...took fifth on the one meter and sixth on the three meter at Florida Atlantic in her first competition of the season...finished fourth on both boards at Louisville...placed third on both the one and the three meter against Iowa State.

2000-01 (Sophomore)
Fortino has a solid sophomore season, capping the year with her first collegiate win on the three meter with a score of 378 against Georgia, which placed her second on the season charts...finished 16th on the platform at the Big 12 meet...finished 17th on the one meter at the Big 12 meet, missing a berth in the finals by .15...finished 23rd on the three meter at the conference championships...took second on the one meter versus Missouri...finished third on the one meter versus Kansas...finished third on both the one- and three-meter springboards against SMU...at the Husker Shootout, earned third on the three meter...helped NU divers to a second-place finish at the adidas Sprint Classic...finished third on both boards in the season-opening dual at Colorado State.

1999-2000 (Freshman)
An NCAA Zone D qualifier as a freshman, Fortino posted a season high of 312.20 at the Big 12 Championships on the one meter and a score of 341.60 on the three meter, earning top-20 finishes in both events.
