A 1999 graduate of Norfolk High, Vahle swam for Coach Cary Nordeen...was a member of the state-qualifying 400-yard free relay senior year...swam the 100-yard fly and the 200-yard IM events for the Panthers...was a member of the National Honor Society and honor roll...lettered once in golf.
