    Senior (1999-00)
    On the third-place Nebraska team, Stacey Sedlacek added several impressive finishes at the Big 12 Championships for her final year. She put an 8th-place mark in the 50 free with a time of 23.44. She also swam in the 100 free (14th, 52.14) and the 200 free (11th, 1:52.49). On several top-placing relay teams, Sedlacek helped to three third-place finishes (200 free relay, 1:32.55; 400 free relay, 3:22.76; 200 medley relay, 1:44.40) and a second-place finish in the 800 free relay (7:19.27). 

    Junior (1998-99)

    Sedlacek put together the most impressive season of her career, establishing career bests in three events and earning All-America honors. She swam on NU's ninth-place 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays at the NCAA Championships, garnering All-America honors. She was a double finalist at the Big 12 Championships, placing fourth in the 100-yard free (50.39) and eighth in the 50-yard event (23.49p, 23.65f), while also swimming on NU's winning 400-yard free relay and runner-up 200-yard free and medley relays. She established a career best in the 200-yard free, winning the bonus final in a time of 1:51.12. Individually at the NCAA Championships, she finished 45th in the 100-yard free (51.25). She helped NU to a 7-3 dual record, posting runner-up finishes in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles in dual victories over Iowa State and Kansas, along with a second-place showing in NU's win over Missouri. 

    Sophomore (1997-98)
    Sedlacek qualified for the consolation finals in three events at the Big 12 Championships, posting a ninth-place finish in the 100-yard free (51.21), a 10th-place finish in the 50-yard free (23.91) and an 11th-place showing in the 200-yard free (1:52.24). She won the 100-yard free and took second in the 50-yard event against Iowa State. Against Kansas, she finished third in the 100-yard free (54.06) and fourth in the 50-yard free (24.66).

    Freshman (1996-97)
    As one of nine freshmen to compete at the NCAA Championships, Sedlacek earned her first All-America honor as a member of the sixth-place 400-yard free relay (3:21.47). She finished 51st in the 50-yard free (23.66) and 53rd in the 100-yard free (51.46). At the Big 12 Championships, she swam a leg on the winning 400-yard free relay (3:20.19). Also at the conference championships, she finished seventh in the 200-yard free (1:52.54), eighth in the 100-yard free (51.79) and 13th in the 50-yard event (24.00). Her top dual meet performances included fourth-place finishes in the 50-yard free against Missouri and Kansas and a third-place finish in the 100-yard free against Colorado State.

    Before Nebraska
    At the 1996 Illinois state championships, Sedlacek finished eighth in 50-yard free and ninth in 100-yard free after finishing first in the 50- and 100-yard free at high school sectionals. She was also a USS Top 10 Age Group Performer in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events.

    Stacey was born on March 20, 1978, to David and Nancy Sedlacek.
