Senior (1999-00)
At the Big 12 Championships in Austin, Texas, Jowsey placed tenth in the 100 fly (57.29), sixth in the 200 fly (2:04.66) and ninth in the 200 IM (2:04.89). Throughout the season, she helped the team to two relay victories at the Husker Shoot Out. Her team reached a 2:00.79 in the 200 medley relay and a 4:21.90 in the 400 medley relay.
Junior (1998-99)
Jowsey was a key contributor throughout the season, helping the team at the conference level by finishing in three events and swimming on NU's runner-up 400-yard medley relay. Her conference finishes included a pair of sixth-place showings in the 100-yard fly (56.85) and 200-yard IM (2:04.28), as well as a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard fly (2:04.28). She won the 200-yard fly and 200-yard IM in helping NU to a dual victory at Colorado State. She won the 200-yard fly versus Missouri and finished seventh in the 200-yard fly at the Texas Invitational (2:04.04). She placed third in the 150-yard fly at the Florida Atlantic Invitational.
Sophomore (1997-98)
Brought home a gold medal and two silver medals from the Big 12 Championships and aided the 400-yard medley relay to a first-place finish (3:43.77). She was runner-up in the 100-yard fly (55.78) and 200-yard fly (2:01.09, career best and second NU all-time). In other action at the Big 12 Championships, she finished ninth in the 200-yard IM (2:03.81). She competed in three events at the NCAA meet: 200-yard fly, 28th (2:02.30); 100-yard fly, 33rd (56.41); 200-yard IM, 42nd (2:05.28). She recorded three top 10 performances at the SMU Classic, highlighted by a fourth-place 100-yard fly finish (57.51). Jowsey picked up a dual meet victory against Missouri in the 100-yard fly (58.55). She finished second in the 200-yard fly and third in the 200-yard IM versus Kansas.
Freshman (1996-97)
Sparked the 400-yard medley relay to an 11th-place finish (3:43.54) at the
NCAA meet to earn honorable-mention All-America honors. At the NCAA
Championships, she finished 21st in the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.84) and 34th in the 100-yard fly (56.15). Jowsey earned her first conference gold medal on the 400-yard medley relay that recorded the second-fastest time in school history (3:42.06). Also at the Big 12 meet, finished third in the 200-yard fly (2:02.15), fifth in the 100-yard fly (56.14) and sixth in the 400-yard IM (4:23.97), while swimming the latter two events back-to-back. The newcomer recorded the team's second-best time in the 400-yard IM at the Texas Invitational (4:20.40) and was fourth on the team in the 200-yard IM (2:03.38). Her dual highlights included four event wins with victories in the 200-yard IM (USB); 200-yard breast (Iowa State) and 200-yard fly (Missouri and CSU). She was a runner-up in the 50-yard fly with a 26.05 mark at the Nike Sprint Classic in November.
Before Nebraska
Jowsey was a three-event consolation finalist at the 1996 Australian Olympic Trials and is a former Australian national champion in the 200-meter fly. She held the 36th-fastest 200-meter butterfly time in the world during 1993.

Sara was born on May 11, 1977, to Graham and Marilyn Jowsey.
