Sophomore (1997-98)
Struggling with knee problems for much of the season, Shacklett was forced out of competitions near the end of the season. She finished fourth on the one-meter with a score of 241.42 against Iowa State to top her dual meet performances. She recorded her top dual meet score on the three-meter (219.80) at the Big 12 Invite, placing 11th. She recorded a top-three-meter dual finish with an eighth-place showing against Iowa State (185.70). She was named to the First-Team Academic All-Big 12 team.
Freshman (1996-97)
In just her first season, Shacklett was voted as the team's most outstanding diver. At the conference championships, she notched season-best scores on both springboards, finishing 11th on the three-meter (414.05) and 12th on the one-meter (328.75). She placed 23rd on the three-meter (393.55) and 26th on the one-meter (322.85) at the NCAA Zone D Qualifying Meet. Her top dual performance included a runner-up one-meter finish (266.77, career best) and a third-place three-meter finish (269.24, career best) against Kansas. She was named to the First-Team Academic All-Big 12 team.
Before Nebraska
Shacklett was a one-meter diving league champion in 1994 and 1996 at Monte Vista High School. She posted her best high school efforts with a score of 398.65. She was also an honor roll member and Golden State exam winner.
