  Senior (2013-14)
  Shannon Guy displayed a strong fourth season with the Huskers. Hailing from Omaha, Neb., Guy led the Huskers to the Big Ten Championship with a 4-2-1 record on the season. Guy took part in multiple events for the Huskers, including the 50 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly, 200 free relay, 400 free relay, as well as the 200 and 400 medley relays. Guy accomplished a top-20 finish in the 100 butterfly (54.61). Shannon achieved a top-20 finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:02:95).

Junior (2012-2013)
Guy swam her way to 17 top-five finishes and six event titles in 2012-13 to continue her brilliant Husker career. She swam a career-best 53.23 in the 100-yard butterfly at the Big Ten Championships to set a school record in the event. Guy came away with fifth place, marking the highest Husker finish in two years of competition at the meet. She also set a career-best time of 23.17 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle at the conference meet, finishing 25th. Guy's individual efforts contributed to four record-setting relays (1:30:11) and the 400-yard freestyle (3:18:10).

Sophomore (2011-12)
Guy continued to build a solid Husker career as a sophomore. The Omaha, Neb., native competed in seven different events for the Huskers, earning 13 top-five finishes in one year, including five victories. Guy put herself in the No. 2 spot in the Husker record books, finishing the 100-yard butterfly in 54.23 and taking 11th at the Big Ten Championships. The butterfly and breaststroke specialist also set a personal-best time of 2:00:63 in the 200-yard butterfly at the Big Ten Championships.

Freshman (2010-11)
Guy made an immediate impact for the Huskers in the 2010-11, amassing 15 top-five finishes as a freshman, including four victories. All of her wins came in the 100-yard butterfly, but she notched her fastest time (54.54) in a 12th-place finish at the 2011 Big 12 Championships. Guy was also a member of the 200 and 400-yard medley relay squads that set multiple records at the Big 12 Championships, including what was then the fastest 200-yard medley relay in school history (1:41:08). Guy was selected to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2010-11.

Before Nebraska
Guy continued a strong tradition of Millard West graduates who attended Nebraska, following in the footsteps of former Husker Kaitlin Arntz and C.J. Bray. Guy was a four-time state champion in the 100-yard butterfly and captured three Nebraska State titles in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Personal
Daughter of Richard and Natalie Guy, Shannon Guy was born on July 21, 1991, in Omaha, Neb. Shannon is a psychology major and earned honorable-mention CSCAA Scholastic All-American recognition in 2012.
