Senior (1998-99)
At her final conference championship meet, Samantha Ashley recorded a near personal best on the one-meter board. Her score of 314.40 landed the senior in 19th. Securing a personal-best in a championship meet, Ashley scored 360.50 on the three-meter board for an additional 19th-place position to conclude her Husker career.
Junior (1997-98)
At the Big 12 Championships, Ashley finished 21st on the one-meter springboard with a score of 316.85. This marked her season-best performance on the board as well as the third-best score on the team for the season. She earned 22nd in the three-meter competition with a season-best score of 344.35.
Her season-best dual scores on the one-meter were against Missouri, where she recorded a score of 224.325, while her 218.00 on the three-meter came against Minnesota and Texas A&M.
Sophomore (1996-97)
Ashley recorded scores of 275.15 (one meter) and 317.90 (three meter) during non-scoring competition at the Husker Shoot Out. Her top one-meter finish was an eighth-place finish twice, once against Colorado State and at the Texas A&M/USC triangular. Her best three-meter finish was her fifth-place dive against Missouri. She earned a spot as a first-team academic All-Big 12 honoree.
Freshman (1995-96)
Dove exhibition at Big Eight Championships, but would have finished sixth overall on the one-meter board (317.75, personal-best championship score) and 10th on the three-meter (353.85, personal-best). Ashley was a member of the Big Eight academic honor roll and the team's diving student-athlete of the year.
Before Nebraska
As the valedictorian of Windsor High, Samantha Ashley graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was the 1995 high school conference one-meter diving champion. She earned the Windsor High Diver of the Year award as well in 1995.
Personal
Samantha was born on March 21, 1977, to David and Cookie Ashley.
