  Senior (1994-95)
  Kristie Klein improved her 100 breaststroke to a sixth-place finish at the Big Eight Championships with a time of 1:07.48. 
  
  Junior (1993-94)
  After being slowed by an ankle injury early in the season, Klein returned to finish seventh in the 100 breaststroke (1:58.19) and ninth in the 200 breaststroke (2:29.46) at the conference meet. 
  
  Sophomore (1992-93)
  Klein swam in the middle distance races for the Huskers, recording personal best times in the 200 and 500 freestyles. She was also an Academic All-Big Eight honorable mention. 
  
  Freshman (1991-92)
  At the conference championships, she swam the exhibition in both breast events and the 200 IM. 
  
  Before Nebraska
  Klein was voted the most valuable swimmer at Punahou High School in 1989 and was a four-year letterwinner. She was a Prep All-American in the 200 medley relay.

  Kristie was born on Dec. 14, 1973, to Thomas and Carol Klein.
