  Freshman (1995-96)
  Katie Froiland dove exhibition at the Big Eight Championships, posting a 250.70 score on the one-meter board (16th in prelims) and notching a 302.25 effort on the three-meter board (15th in prelims). Her top dual finishes were a 165.90 effort on the one-meter versus Southern Illinois and a 163.50 score on the three-meter versus Kansas. She was a Big Eight Academic Honor Roll member, boasting a 3.74 GPA as a nutrition major. 
  
  Before Nebraska
  Froiland's top finishes include a fourth-place showing on the one-meter board at regions and state in 1994. She lettered in diving, academics and music at Roberts Servie High in Anchorage, Alaska. She was also a Denali Diving USD team member.
