Brock exploded out of the gates, winning the 200 breaststroke at the Big 12 Invite, Husker Shoot Out and versus Colorado State. Among the nation's best in the 200 breast after finishing third at the Texas Invitational in December, she posted an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 2:13.69. She was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which limited her training while holding her out for the early meets of the season. She still managed to rebound for the Big 12 Championships, where she won the 200 breaststroke (2:15.09) and finished in eighth in the 100 breast (1:05.45). She swam at the NCAA meet, but was continually hampered by illness. She still worked to a 37th-place in the 100 (1:06.15) and the 200 (2:20.13) breaststroke events.
