Junior (1998-99)
Muller took the first semester of action off last season, spending the fall in South Africa. After returning in January, she showed a return to her old form by season's end, helping NU in the sprint freestyle events. She earned All-America honors competing on NU's sixth-place 800-yard freestyle relay and ninth-place 200- and 400-yard free relays. Muller also swam the 200-yard freestyle at the NCAA meet, placing 25th (1:49.26). She was a double finalist at the Big 12 Championships, placing third in the 200-yard free (1:49.93) and sixth in the 100-yard event (50.85). Muller swam on NU's winning 400-and 800-yard freestyle relays and runner-up 200-yard free relay. She qualified for the consolation finals of the 50-yard free, finishing 11th (23.63) overall. In her first competition of the season, the lowa State dual on Jan. 15, Muller swept the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events. She also won the 100-yard free versus Kansas for the second-to-last dual of the season.
