Senior (1998-99)
Her final year as a Husker provided some of Anna Nilsson's best finishes of her career. At the conference championships, she placed seventh in the 200 backstroke (2:03.78), tenth in the 200 IM (2:06.50) and eighth in the 400 IM (4:27.24).
Junior (1997-98)
At the Big 12 Championships, Nilsson finished 10th in the 400 IM (4:25.69, season best), 11th in the 200 back (2:05.07, season best) and 12th in the 200 IM (2:06.27, season best). She finished in third in the 200 IM (2:09.82 against Iowa State, her highest finish during the regular season. At the Texas Invite, she finished 15th in the 200 Back (2:07.43) and 21st in the 400 IM (4:31.94). She also earned first-team Academic All-Big 12.
Sophomore (1996-97)
Nilsson posted three top-11 finishes and three career-best marks at the inaugural Big 12 Championships. She hit eighth in the 200 back (2:03.68), 11th in the 200 IM (2:05.67) and seventh in the 400 IM (4:24.86). She notched a day of 1-2-3 finishes against Iowa State with a win in the 200 back, runner-up finish in the 200 breast and a third-place showing in the 200 IM, all of which were season-best performances. Her efforts at the Texas Invitational included a top-10 finish in the 400 IM (4:27.33p, 4:28.30f). She was also named as team lifter-of-the-year and made first-team Academic All-Big 12.
Freshman (1995-96)
For her first year, she was a conference silver medalist in the 200 back (2:03.89). She also placed sixth in the 400 IM (4:30.39) and seventh in the 200IM (2:07.34) at the conference championships. She finished consistently in the top four at dual meets.
Before Nebraska
Nilsson attended Alleskolan High School and was coached by Nebraska Associate Head Coach Rick Paine as a member of the Nebraska Aquatics USS team.
Personal
Anna was born on February 21, 1994, to Kjell and Ingegerd Nilsson.
