  Freshman (1996-97)
  Amanda Bodzek earned a letter in her freshman year. The Nebraska swimming and diving team went on to win the 1997 Big 12 Championships with a total of 927 points. 
  
  Before Nebraska
  A two-time swimming letterwinner at Millard South, Bodzek was a 500 free medalist at the 1994 and 1995 state swim meet. She was a runner-up in the 500 free at the 1994 Metros. Bodzek was the 1994 sophomore student-of-the-year, high school honor roll member and was a Millard South representative on the All-Star Midwestern Select Team. She lettered for two years in swimming.
