Katie Klapprodt joined the Nebraska Athletic Department as a performance intern in January of 2019 and was hired as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in August of 2019. She primarily works with the women's soccer team and spirit squad.
Prior to coming to Nebraska, Klapprodt was a sports performance coach at Georgetown where she worked with men’s and women’s tennis, women’s field hockey and women’s crew. She also assisted with football, women’s lacrosse, women’s volleyball and women’s golf and was the social media director for the Iron Hoyas.
Klapprodt also served as the head strength and conditioning coach at Episcopal High School and was a performance specialist at Altru Ortho Sports Advantage Powered by EXOS.
Klapprodt was a member of the women's basketball team at the University of North Dakota and was on the first team in program history to make it to the NCAA Tournament. She graduated from North Dakota with a degree in kinesiology and a minor in nutrition. She then completed her master's at North Dakota in kinesiology. While at North Dakota she was an intern with the strength and conditioning staff, working with football, women’s basketball, women’s ice hockey and track and field teams.
Klapprodt is a NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and holds EXOS-Performance Specialist Certification. She is also certified through the American Red Cross for adult and child First Aid/CPR/AED.
Originally from Rapid City, S.D., Katie is the daughter of Kevin and Michele Klapprodt. She has two brothers, Kris and Kasey.
