2013 (Senior)
Stacy Bartels (pronouced BAR-tells) participated in all 24 matches for the Huskers and made 19 starts as a midfielder in her final season. She amassed 11 shots on goal during the year and averaged 58.5 minutes per contest as a vital part of a senior-laden two-time 2013 Big Ten Championship squad.

Bartels notched her 14th career tally when she received a through ball pass from Caroline Flynn to score from 12 yards out for the equalizer as NU took control and ran away with a 4-1 victory over Cincinnati on Aug. 23 at the Nebraska Soccer Field.

Bartels produced her 10th-career assist of the year in the Sept. 13 win against San Francisco as she earned the game-winner just 56 seconds into the match as she found Mayme Conroy sitting on the doorstep after a long crossing pass into the box en route to the 3-0 victory. 

The Omaha, Neb. native helped opening the scoring in the Oct. 3 matchup with Iowa as Bartels connected with Katie Kraeutner on a ground pass from the right side as the Huskers earned a narrow 2-1 victory late.

The vocal senior recorded her second score of the season and final of her career after a long run down the right side and finishing it off with a sliding shot across her body into the left side of the goal in the 55th minute of the Huskers' 4-1 Quarterfinal victory over Minnesota in the Big Ten Tournament.

2012 (Junior)
For the third straight season, Bartels played in every game for the Huskers, including 18 starts in 20 games. She scored a pair of goals on the year and ranked second on the team in assists with three.

Bartels notched her first point of the season in a 2-0 win over New Mexico on Aug. 26. She assisted on freshman Jaylyn Odermann's first career goal early in the second half.

Bartels produced a three-point game against Southeast Missouri State on Sept. 8, as she scored a goal and delivered an assist in a 4-0 win.

Bartels' third assist of the season came just at the right time, as she found Mayme Conroy for the game winner in overtime at Wisconsin. It was Conroy's third goal of the game, earning Conroy her first career hat trick at Nebraska.

Bartels scored the game-opening goal at Iowa in the second half on Oct. 18, a game Nebraska won in overtime following a goal from Caroline Gray.

2011 (Sophomore)
Bartels became a full-time starter for the Huskers in 2011, as the sophomore started all 18 games for Head Coach John Walker after starting 10 of the Huskers' 21 games in 2010. Bartels improved her offensive attack with seven goals and four assists, which improved on her four goals and two assists from 2010.

Bartels scored her first goal of the season against former Big 12 Conference foe Baylor on Aug. 21. The game with the Bears ended in a 1-1 tie - the Huskers' only tie of the season.

Bartels added goals in three straight games, all wins, against Arkansas, Northern Arizona and Virginia Tech. Her goal against the Hokies completed a dramatic comeback by the Huskers, as they were down 3-1 on the road with less than 30 minutes to play in regulation. Bartels' goal was the game winner in double overtime at the 102:49 mark.

Bartels notched her first career goal during Big Ten play in a 2-1 loss to Indiana on the road in Bloomington. She put up five shots on the day, including three shots on goal.

Bartels recorded her second career multi-goal game in the 2011 season finale at Minnesota on Oct., 28. She scored just 19 seconds into the game for the fastest goal to start a game in Nebraska soccer history. The Omaha native added another goal less than 10 minutes into the second half.

2010 (Redshirt Freshman)
Following a redshirt season in 2009, Bartels became a major contributor to the 2010 squad, as she played in all 21 games with 10 starts, including the final five games of the year.

Bartels was one of five Huskers on the year to total double-digit points with 10, as she produced four goals and two assists. Her four goals tied for third on the team with three other Huskers.

She earned the first point of her collegiate career in a 3-0 win over Arizona in Tucson, when she hit Morgan Marlborough late in the game for Marlborough's second goal on the day. Bartels added her first and second career goals during the second half of a 3-1 win over Cal State Fullerton, a game that was knotted 1-1 at the half.

Bartels produced her first conference goal at home against Iowa State, when she put in the game winner early in the first half to give Nebraska a 2-0 lead in a game the Huskers won 4-1.

She added her fourth goal of the season at the Big 12 Tournament during Nebraska's opening-round 4-1 win over Missouri. Bartels also assisted on Jordan Jackson's game-opening score against the Tigers, while Bartels produced the game's final goal.
   
2009 (Freshman)
Bartels redshirted her first season at Nebraska, along with Bri Badje and Emma Stevens.

High School
From her forward position, Bartels was a major factor in helping Coach John Carlson and Omaha Skutt High School to two Class B state championships during her four years, including three appearances in the title game.

Bartels rewrote Skutt's record books while leading the team to a 19-2 record and the state championship during her senior year. She set single-season records in goals (26), assists (20) and points (72), while also notching 10 game-winning goals. She also holds career records in goals (81), assists (49) and points (211). 

Her efforts earned her first-team Lincoln Journal Star Super-State honors and first-team Omaha-World-Herald All-Nebraska accolades for a second consecutive season. Both publications also named her to their Class B all-state first-team twice. She also played in the 2009 Shrine Soccer Classic, notching one goal and one assist.

During Bartels' junior season, the SkyHawks posted a 16-1 record, before falling in a shootout in the state final. Bartels found the back of the net six times during the state tournament to finish the season with 26 goals and 14 assists for 66 points, including six game-winning goals.

Bartels finished her sophomore campaign with 24 goals and 10 assists for 58 points, as Skutt fell to Lincoln Pius X in the first round of the 2007 state tournament to claim a 14-4 record on the year. Bartels was named to the Omaha World-Herald’s Omaha-Area first team, and earned Class B first-team accolades from the OWH and LJS.

As a freshman in 2006, Bartels and Skutt claimed the state crown with a 2-1 victory over Pius X in the final for a 17-2 record. Bartels scored the first goal in the championship game and assisted on the second, as she posted five goals and five assists for 15 points on the season.

She was also a three-year starting point guard for the Skutt basketball team.

In the classroom, she earned an academic letter.

Personal Information
Stacy is the daughter of Sandy and Pat Bartels and was born on Feb. 22, 1991. She has two brothers, T.J. and Jeff, and one sister, Lisa. Stacy is majoring in elementary education. She was an academic All-Big Ten selection in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2013 and 2014. She was also named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll six times. In addition, she earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award in 2011.
