  • Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Fall: 2006)

2006 Season

Jacy Wicker saw game action in 19 of Nebraska's 20 matches in 2006, including 11 starts, most of which were in Big 12 games. In fact, Wicker became a regular in the starting lineup for the Husker midfield. 

 

An aggressive attacking midfielder, Wicker was active in many of Nebraska's offensive runs, adding nine shots, including four against Baylor on Oct. 8. Despite her nine shots, including two on goal, Wicker failed to notch a single point on the season.

 

High School

The 2005 team captain, Wicker helped lead Colleyville Heritage to an outstanding season in her senior year.  The Heritage defense allowed only three goals in nine games, including seven shutouts.  Wicker also contributed two assists along with two goals and was named the 2005 District 5-A Utility Player of the Year.  

 

Other Information

Wicker played club ball along with freshman teammate Brittney Lanier for the highly successful Dallas Texans Red North.  The Red North went 30-0-1 in Wicker’s final season and were crowned both the 2006 State Cup Champions and the 2005 Disney Champions.  The team’s success helped it earn a No. 1 national ranking under Coach Hassan Nazari.

 

Wicker was also a member of the Olympic Development Program.  In 2005, she helped lead her team to the semifinals of the fifth annual Olympic Development Program National Championships.

 

Personal Information

Jacy is the daughter of Billy and Rhonda Wicker and has one older brother, Jordan, 23.  Jacy was born on April 6, 1988.  Jacy (Wicker) Phillips earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2017.
