2005 Season
Injuries limited Brigid Kenny in 2005 and forced her to redshirt the season.

2004 Season
One of two in-state freshmen on the team, Kenny saw limited action, appearing in seven games. While on the field, Kenny displayed the confidence that made her the all-time leading goal scorer in the history of North Platte High School, attempting three shots, with one placed on goal.

Kenny also gained valuable minutes in postseason play. In the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament, Kenny played a career-high 36 minutes and saw action in each of the Huskers' three NCAA Tournament matches.

Off the field, Kenny was named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters.

High School
A graduate of North Platte High School, Kenny ran track her freshman season before switching to soccer as a sophomore.

In her first season, she scored 13 goals to break the North Platte High School single-season record. Kenny nearly doubled that number during her junior season, when she found the back of the net on 22 shots and was named a Class A all-state selection. After finishing her senior season with 20 goals, Kenny left North Platte with the most career goals in school history. As a senior, she was a 2004 Omaha World-Herald all-state selection and a Lincoln Journal Star all-state honorary captain.

An excellent all-around athlete, Kenny also earned honorable-mention all-state honors in volleyball and basketball. She was a three-time letterwinner in soccer, volleyball and basketball and earned one letter in track.

In addition to being a terrific athlete, Kenny excelled in the classroom. She was a 4.0 honor roll student, class valedictorian and a Wendy’s High School Heisman nominee. Kenny was also honored with the Nebraska School Activities Association's Believers and Achievers award.
