2001 Season

Phillips saw action in every contest for Nebraska in 2001, and all seven of her points came in the seven games in which she started.

Phillips made her first career start against Northern Iowa on Sept. 21, recording an assist in Nebraska's 3-1 win. She started her second game against Texas Tech on Oct. 28, posting the first multiple-goal game of her career in NU's 8-1 win. Against Iowa State on Nov. 2, Phillips made her third start, recording the game-winning assist. She started both games in the Big 12 Tournament, recording an assist in a 5-1 win over Baylor.

Her first goal of the season came when she headed in the rebound of a Meghan Anderson shot in the first half against the Red Raiders. Phillips' second scoring shot of the season came just minutes into the second half, following a free kick.

2000 Season

In 23 games for the Huskers, Phillips notched seven points on one goal and five assists. Phillips' first career goal came on a pass from Kori Saunders at 76:38 against then-ninth-ranked Texas A&M in the Big 12 Tournament championship game.

Four of her five assists came in the month of September, while four of her seven points came against ranked teams.

In 2000, Phillips was honored as a first-team academic All-Big 12 member, as well as being named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

1999 Season

Phillips redshirted in 1999, while recovering from a torn ACL. She did appear in three games (Oral Roberts, Kentucky and Tulsa) early in the season, attempting two shots with one shot on goal. An outstanding student, Phillips claimed a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

High School

Phillips earned Gatorade Circle of Champions Nebraska Player-of-the-Year honors in 1999 and was a two-time all-stater, in 1997 and 1998, for Coach Michelle Hallett at Millard North.  Phillips led Millard North to a state title in 1997 and a state runner-up finish in 1998, while also earning first-team All-Metro honors both years.

Phillips sat out most of her senior season with a torn left ACL that she injured on March 26 in the fourth minute of Millard North's second game.  In her only game for the Mustangs, she scored five points on two goals and an assist. She had surgery on April 9.

Phillips also earned three letters in basketball and ran cross country for one year.  Academically, she was a member of the National Honor Society and ranked in the top 10 percent of her class.
