2002 Season

   Sophomore Helen Fox will added depth to the Nebraska backline in 2002. She played in 11 games and recorded three shots.

 

2001 Season

   Fox saw action off the bench in seven games for the Huskers in 2001(Arizona, Northern Iowa, Evansville, Missouri, Texas Tech, Baylor in the Big 12 Tournament and Boston College in the NCAA Tournament).  On offense, Fox took one shot on the season against Missouri.

   Fox also gained game experience in both spring games against Notre Dame and USC.

   In the fall semester, Fox was named to the Big 12 Commissioners Honor Roll for her outstanding performance in the classroom.

 

High School

   A multi-sport athlete at St. James, Fox received the school?s Athletic Achievement Award upon completing high school. She played basketball for three seasons and competed in track and soccer for four years. Fox claimed city and regional track championships in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay.

   An honor roll student through her entire high school career, Fox graduated in the top 2 percent of her class. She was the St. James Mathematics Contest Winner in 1998, 1999 and 2000.

 

Other Information 

   Along with her high school experience, Fox helped the Kitchner Spirit ? coached by Steve Devonport ? claim the Under-17 Canadian National Club Championships title in 1999. The Spirit won Ontario Youth Soccer League championships in 1998, 1999 and 2000. Fox was the club?s third-leading scorer in 1999 and 2000.

   Fox is also a member of the Under-21 Canadian National Team pool. She trained with the team twice each week through the summer.

 

Personal Information

   The daughter of Allan and Kathy Fox, Helen has two sisters, Margaret, 23, and Pauline, 27, and  one brother, Michael, 26. Margaret, a three-time track All-American at Rice, was a member of the 2000 Canadian Olympic Team that competed in Sydney.

   Helen was born on Feb. 11, 1982, in Guelph, Ontario. She owns a 3.32 GPA in nutritional science and dietetics.
