2002 Season 

   Erin Miller controlled the net for the Huskers in 2002. She started all 25 games at goalkeeper for NU, leading them to a 16-6-3 record and the third round of the NCAA Tournament. She tallied 130 saves on the season, while allowing just a 0.86 goals-against average. She also added 14 shutouts to her impressive accomplishments on the season.

   Miller was one of two Huskers from Sioux Falls, S.D., on the 2002 roster, joining freshman Katie Bunkers.

 

2001 Season

   Miller, who began training as a goalkeeper in February 2000, recorded seven shutouts for Nebraska, while posting an 1.12 goals-against average in 2001. She claimed second-team All-Big 12 honors as a goalkeeper in 2001, after seeing action in nine games as a defender as a true freshman in 2000.

   The Big 12 Conference's only two-time defender-of-the-week honoree in 2001, Miller recorded regular-season shutouts against Baylor, Kansas, Brigham Young, Oklahoma and Iowa State. She also recorded shutouts against Boston College and Brigham Young in the NCAA Tournament.

   Miller started every game for NU in 2001, posting a 17-5-1 record and 109 saves, which were the most ever by a Husker keeper in a single season.

   A standout in the classroom as well, Miller earned first team academic All-Big 12 honors.

  

2000 Season

   Miller came off the bench to help the Huskers in nine games, including two regular-season games against league foes, two games in the Big 12 Tournament and the Huskers? NCAA Tournament matchup with Richmond. She fired three shots.

 

High School

   As a soccer player, Miller earned first-team all-state honors in 1999 at Sioux Falls Washington High School for Coach Kim Swoboda. In 1997, Washington won the Class AA state championship, while finishing third in 1999.

   Miller was also a standout volleyball player, earning South Dakota's Class AA Miss Volleyball honors as a senior. She earned first-team all-state and All-Greater Dakota Conference honors and was an academic all-state pick.

   She earned four letters in volleyball as an outside hitter and was a three-time Class AA all-tournament honoree. Miller was a second-team all-stater as a junior. Miller also competed for Sioux Falls Washington High School in track as a sophomore.

   An outstanding student, Miller posted a 3.96 grade-point average. She was an honor roll member for four years and was named one of Washington High School's Top 10 Outstanding Seniors.

 

Other Information

   Along with her experience in high school soccer, Miller competed for one of the top club programs in South Dakota as a member of the Dakota Gold Dynasty, coached by Dave Husby.  She played with the Gold since she was 10 years old and helped the team to five State Cup championships, including a title in 1999. 

   An Olympic Development Program participant, Miller also helped the Dakota Gold to a fourth-place finish at regionals in 1996. She attended Nebraska?s Big Red Soccer Camp during the summer of 1999.

 

Personal Information

   The daughter of Keith and Cathy Miller, Erin has two sisters, Christina, 25, and Angie, 18, and one brother, Clint, 24. Erin was born Jan. 2, 1982, in Worthington, Minn. She  owns a 3.13 GPA and is a veterinary science major.
