2001 Sesason
For the second time in three years, Marie-Claude Henry (pronounced muh-REE-CLAWD on-REE) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament, while changing directions during a drill in spring practice on March 19. Henry will redshirt the 2001 season.
2000 Season
Henry saw significant action in 20 games for the Huskers, making her lone start against Drury on Sept. 3. She finished the season with two points on one goal.
As a freshman, Henry notched her first career goal in the Huskers' 7-2 victory over Florida on Sept. 8, when she capped off the scoring on a pass from Paige Phillips at 85:38.
A St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, native, Henry suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her knee in May of 1999.
High School
Henry completed one year of CEGEP in Montreal at Polyvalenthe Hyacinthe Celorme, after graduating from Marie-Victorin High School in 1999. Neither school sponsored soccer programs. Henry has participated in track and field, running the 100 meters and 200 meters, and competing in the long jump.
Other Information
Henry played with current Huskers Shannon Tanaka, Breanna Boyd and Kelly Haxton on Canada's Pan American Games team during the summer of 1999. She also has been in Under-20 National Team camp with Husker forward Christine Latham.
Henry partcipated in club soccer with Patriotes Richelieu Yamaska.
Personal Information
The daughter of Louis Henry and Helene Arsenault, Marie-Claude has one brother, Oligier, 21. She was born on Dec. 6, 1981, in Rimouski, Quebec.
