2001 Season
Ashley Sulprizio added depth to the goalkeeper position for the Huskers in 2001. She helped Nebraska to a 17-5-1 record on the year.

High School
Sulprizio recorded 10 shutouts as a senior, helping Douglas High School to the Nevada Class 4A Northern Region championship in 2001. Named the Northern Region's defensive player of the year, Sulprizio surrendered 14 goals, as Douglas finished 15-3-1.

A two-time first-team All-Northern Region goalkeeper (2000 and 2001), Sulprizio helped Douglas to a 16-1-1 record as a junior, surrendering a region-record seven goals on the season. She also earned second-team All-Northern Region honors as a sophomore.

Sulprizio gradauted among the top 10 percent of Nevada's high school seniors in 2001, earning Nevada High School Scholars honors. She also earned the President's Education Award for Academic Excellence.

Other Information
In addition to her high school experience, Sulprizio helped the San Juan Spirits, based in Sacramento, Calif., to the Northern California State Cup title in 2001. The Spirits, coached by Seth Boyle, lost in the semifinals of the regional tournament in Albuquerque, N.M., in June.

Sulprizio also participated on the Douglas High School basketball team as a junior in 1999-2000.

Personal Information
The daughter of Scott and Linda Sulprizio, Ashley has one brother, Christopher, 22. She was born June 17, 1983, in Carson City, Nev.
