2000 Season
A second-team All-Big 12 selection, Christine Gluck started 71 consecutive games for the Huskers in her final three seasons, helping NU post a combined goals-against average of 0.57 (41 goals in 6,486 minutes).
In 2000, Gluck helped the Huskers notch 16 shutouts in 24 games while posting a goals-against average of 0.42, which broke the school's single-season goals-against record of 0.54, set in 1999.
Gluck helped the Huskers from an offensive standpoint as well, scoring the game-winning goal against Arkansas-Little Rock on Aug. 27.
1999 Season
Gluck earned a spot on the Big 12 All-Tournament team by producing the game-winning assist in Nebraska's 7-1 tournament semifinal win over No. 22 Baylor. She added one goal and one assist in Nebraska's 9-0 win at Colorado on Oct. 10. Gluck was a key component of a Nebraska defense that ranked fifth nationally with a 0.54 team goals-against average. Gluck was one of six players to start all 25 games for the Huskers, and helped NU shut out 13 opponents on the year.
1998 Season
Gluck started all 22 games for the Huskers as a sophomore, helping Nebraska lead the Big 12 and rank 18th nationally with 0.79 goals-against average. She also ranked in a tie for sixth among the Huskers with five assists, including a share of the game-winning assist in a 4-0 win over Missouri in the Big 12 title game. All four of her other assists came against Big 12 competition, including assists against Iowa State, Missouri, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
A dedicated worker both on and off the field, Gluck shared the Husker Power Award with Amy Walsh as one of Nebraska's leaders in the weight room. Gluck also claimed Nebraska's Toughness Award.
1997 Season
Gluck was the only freshman to play in all 22 games for the Huskers, scoring one goal and one assist in 1997. She helped a Nebraska defense that allowed 0.82 goals per game. She scored three points on one goal and one assist, including her first career goal against USC, and added her first career assist in a 7-0 win over Iowa State.
High School
Gluck captured All-California Interscholastic Federation honors, totaling 57 points on 19 goals and 19 assists as a junior at Don Lugo High School. She was also one of California's top female track athletes, setting school records in the pentathlon, javelin, 100-meter hurdles (16.1) and 300-meter hurdles (47.8). Gluck earned three letters in soccer and three more in track, but chose not to play high school soccer or track as a senior, so she could focus on club soccer.
Gluck was an honor roll member all four years. She was an active community member, volunteering as a peer counselor and working with disadvantaged elementary students.
Other Information
Gluck led the Southern California Blues Under-20 team, one of the top club teams in the state. During the spring of 1997, Gluck and the Blues battled the U.S. National Team. She also played for Coach Hugh Donald and the Blues Under-18 team. Gluck was a member of the California Olympic Development Program. She ran track with the Chino Pumas Track Club, qualifying for the nationals in the pentathlon and competing in the U.S. Junior Olympics in the hurdles.
Personal Information
The daughter of Bob and Corrine Gluck, Christine has a sister, Michelle, 26, and a brother, Robert, 23. Christine was born March 24, 1979.
