1999 Season
Karla Ledford appeared in four games for Huskers before her season was ended by injuries.

1998 Season
Ledford did not play while redshirting with an injury to her right knee. She returned to practice in mid-season but continued to struggle because of the injury. Her injury also limited her during the spring exhibition season.

High School
Ledford earned second-team Class 5A all-state honors as a junior defender for Coach Taylor Betz at Eaglecrest High School in 1997. She was also tabbed as Eaglecrest's best defensive player.

Ledford appeared in just two games as a senior in 1998 before suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee against Bear Creek High School (Lindsay Eddleman's alma mater) on March 21. She underwent surgery on April 8 to repair the injury. Ledford earned four letters in soccer and two letters in basketball.

Other Information
Ledford helped lead Littleton United to a state cup title and a trip to regionals in 1997. Littleton United, which was coached by Mike Lynch, won league titles in 1996 and 1997. Ledford was a Littleton United club soccer teammate of Nebraska women's basketball guard Karsen Muller.

Personal Information
The daughter of Bob and Diane Ledford, Karla has a sister, Keila, 22. She was born Sept. 19, 1979.
