Before Nebraska
Karli Williams, a native of Gretna, was a 2023 and 2025 first-team Super-State selection, a three-time Lincoln Journal Star Super State first-team honoree, playing for Coach Chase Hutchison at Gretna East High School. She was an Omaha World-Herald First-Team All-State member in 2025 and an Omaha World-Herald All-State Second Team selection in 2024. The midfielder helped Gretna to two Class A State Championships and a 44-0 combined record, before transferring to Gretna East where she earned her third and fourth State Championships and a 41-1 record across two seasons.

On the club side, Williams competed at the Gretna Elite Academy on the club side for Coach Jon Brezenski, earning 2023 first-team ECNL Midwest Conference and 2021/2022 ECNL second-team Midwest Conference honors.

Personal
Karli is the daughter of Shawn and Cindy Williams. She has one brother, Cooper, and is majoring in kinesiology.
