High School
A four-year letterwinner at <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>BurkeHigh School in Omaha, Walsh achieved impressive success.
Walsh helped her team to a state championship and seventh-place national ranking in 2002. She was the state’s third-leading scorer in 2004 with 26 goals and 11 assists. That same year, Walsh earned All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald and LincolnJournalStarSuper-State accolades. She was also a first-team Class A and All-Metro Conference honoree.
As a senior, Walsh finished the season as Nebraska’s second-leading scorer and earned All-Nebraska and Super-State honors.
Other Information
Walsh joined Husker freshmen Julie Berkshire and Anna Caniglia on the Omaha West Gladiators club team under Coach Doug Trenerry. A team captain, Walsh helped the Gladiators to two state cup titles and a third-place finish at regionals.

Jackie Walsh is the daughter of Rick and Molly Walsh and has three sisters, Amy, 24, Karen, 22, and Michaela 20. Jackie was born May 18, 1988, and has not declared a major at Nebraska.
